Pinterest Project #2 - Lego Instruction Manual BInder
Today's Pinterest Project is a Lego Instruction Booklet Binder. While it's not a real challenging DIY project, it's a perfect fit for today. You see, my son is seven years old, and we just had custody restored about six weeks ago. He was previously being raised by my in-laws and we went through a nasty three-year custody battle. I had to pick him up today because even though we had custody restored, he still needs to have visitation with them and he has just spent a week at their house. So I wanted a Pinterest Project that could be done in a small amount of time between church and the long drive to pick him up. Enter the Lego Instruction Booklet Binder.
My son and I bond over Legos. I have all of my old sets (I was an avid Lego fan growing up) and we play with them, plus all the new Lego sets he has accumulated over the past couple of years. A LOT of Legos, and a LOT of instructions! The instruction booklets from my sets are considerably older and in worse condition. So I saw a great idea on Pinterest, to keep all of the Lego instruction booklets in a binder. Now, if you stick the whole booklet in a plastic sleeve, you risk the same wear and tear when you take it in and out of the binder. But the suggestion on Pinterest is to actually arrange each page of the instruction booklet in its own plastic sleeve, so you just flip through the binder to look at each page of the booklet. Genius! I love the new binder and the fact that it will prevent any additional wear and tear as we build and tear apart our Lego sets!
