Pinterest Project #4 - Quick No-Sew Pillow Cover!
So Pinterest Project #4 is a quick and easy, no-sew pillow cover! I got this great fabric from a thrift store today, it only cost 99cents and I knew that it would be perfect for the pillow cover project!
I should have mentioned in the beginning that not only am I doing a 365 Days of Pinterest Projects challenge, but nearly ever project has to be cheap or free to make. It should be more aptly called 365 Days of Pinterest Projects on a Budget challenge. As mentioned in the beginning, my husband is the only one working right now and about 2 months ago his pay dropped by 50%... supposedly temporary. So we have cut everything back, dropped services like Dish, Netflix, and the cell phone, and cranked the thermostat up and put the kids in tank tops and flip flops for the summer. Needless to say, asking my husband for $20 bucks for a project here and a project there, especially 365 of them over the next year, would be way out of line.
The first project was the spray-painted cookie sheet, I used an old cookie sheet and spray paint and tape that I already had. The second project was the Lego binder, which I had a binder already, and sheet protectors. The third project was the yarn bottle (note, singular!), which I got the bottle from my mom and the yarn from my kids stash. Today, however, I picked up some fabric from a thrift store, marked at 99cents. A fantastic find!
As soon as I got home, I measured and cut the fabric, then followed the Pinterest example of folding the fabric and then pulling in both ends to tie around the middle. It looks sooo great!
*Pictures to follow!
